An exercise using the Arpeggio's of the Melodic Minor scale

Obviously there's a lot of info that could be covered using this scale. This is just a little exercise I came up with years ago that will get you playing through the 4-note arpeggio's found in the scale. Hope it's of use.

These are two very basic but common patterns people learn for the Melodic Minor scale.

Pattern 1:

E-----------------------------------------4--5--
B-----------------------------------5--7--------
G--------------------------4--5--7--------------
D-----------------4--6--7-----------------------
A-----------5--7--------------------------------
E--5--7--8--------------------------------------

Pattern 2:

E-------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------7--9--10--
G---------------------------------7--9------------
D--------------------6--7--9--10------------------
A-----------5--7--9-------------------------------
E--5--7--8----------------------------------------

Below is the exercise I use to take me through all of the "7-type chord" arpeggio's found in this scale. It's based out of Pattern 2.
Code: Select all
