Sinatra's version of One For My Baby (One More For the Road)

Postby mikedodge on Wed Jun 03, 2009 2:27 pm

I learned it and made a chord chart for a guy at another forum, thought I'd share it here.

If you want a reference and have an imeem.com account you can find the version I used here: http://www.imeem.com/artists/frank_sina ... he-road-1/

See the note on the Abaug and let's see what chord you get. And I realize the G# and Ab enharmonic notes.

Some notes:

Some of the E9 could also be E7 or Bm or Bm6.

The A/E->A6->Amaj7->A6 is just an A chord with a E->F#->G#->F# moving line.

The Dm6 Dm6 C#m6 Cm6 could be...G9 G9 F#7 F7 also.

The | E E F#m F#m | G#m G#m F#m F#m | are really...or can be | E E F#m7 F#m7 | G#m7 G#m7 F#m7 F#m7 | for the most part if you like.

The Abaug could be Eaug also. This is the one chord that I could hear very well, I had a few different names I could call for what I was getting but settled on 'Abaug". If someone else wants to take a stab at it and see what they get I'd be interested.

The A/(E f g# g f# f e) is really an A chord with the line E F G# G F# F E played over it.

Code: Select all
Here's a couple of voicings or moves for some of the parts...
